Hibist W. Kassa is a graduate student at the Department of Political Science in the University of Ghana. She is currently researching on Market Reforms and the Labor Regime in Africa. She is also working as a Youth Framing Paper Partner on Financing for Education with the Inter Agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE). In 2008 she was an intern with the Network for Women’s Rights in Ghana (NETRIGHT). During the 2008 civil society parallel UNCTAD conference in Accra, she volunteered with Third World Network- Africa (TWN-Af). In 2009, she was also an intern with the Enslavement Prevention Alliance – West Africa (EPAWA). Her research interests include Gender and Development, the State and Labor in Africa, Development Financing, Neoliberalism and Democracy.
