Secrado Corazon Necklace

Having reviewed a shoulder bag and wallet from Chic Cosas, I wanted to check out more of their goodies. I normally don't wear bright or large jewelry, but I absolutely adored the color and crafts(wo)manship of this necklace.

At a very reasonable price of $28, the porcelain pendant of the Secrado Corazon "focuses on the heart, metaphorically, and the emotional, moral life, and love for humanity," according to Chic Cosas owner Deborah Maciel. It's a frequent and significant symbol in Mexican art, which I also happen to love. Maciel incorporates many other Mexican folkloric images in her art, jewelry and products for the home.

The only trouble I had with this necklace was deciding which of the gorgeous colors to choose from! I chose melon, but it's also available in lime, red, orange and two shades of blue. You can also buy the necklace with a suede loop, instead of a silver-plated chain, for $25. Having purchased several of items from Chic Cosas myself, I can say with confidence that you won't be disappointed!
