Reviews by May Abu Jaber
Passion and dedication are important qualities for anyone entering and aiming to be successful in protecting and preserving international human rights. This genuine desire led May Abu Jaber to pursue a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Human Rights and Women’s Studies, with a minor in History from Carleton University in Ottawa. She is now undertaking her Master’s degree from the University of Oxford in Women’s Studies.
May has volunteered and worked for various organizations that focus on the empowerment of the disenfranchised. These organizations include the Elizabeth Fry Society, Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism, and the Carleton Human Rights Society.
As for her personal interests, she enjoys writing, reading, and adding new languages to the ones she already knows (Arabic, English, Spanish, and French). Her commitment to the amelioration of international human and women’s rights is clear, and remains a constant goal.
